LMM = LM Straight Tuned & one M with a gentle musette.

Colors:
LMH & LMMH / Standard Color - BLACK with PEARL colored keys and buttons
LMM & LMMM / Standard Color - BLACK TINSEL with PEARL colored keys and buttons
*Custom colors are available for a surcharge. Straight wood models take longer to build and are $1,000 to $1,500 extra (for the man hours needed to build the "look.") There is no difference in the SOUND between a model done in the straight wood and in black. The black accordions are built with the SAME wood but with black paint over the wooden body. It will be easier to maintain the finish and the look of a black accordion over one done in the straight wood.
RS = Regular Size
SC = Super Compact
Sennheiser mic system by Musictech is $650 extra.
Full MIDI capable systems are available for installation into ANY Borsini accordion. The system is designed and installed by Musictech in Castelfidardo, Italy. Please contact your local Dealer for a pricing inquiry.
Models with the asterisk * are the hottest sellers in North America.
Models with LESS than 41 keys are usually purchased in LMMM and models with 41 keys are usually purchased in LMMH.
***Custom orders will always be more expensive than working with what is available in the stock. The best pricing is available on the models that are IN STOCK only. When available, DEMO models have even more attractive pricing and come with the same Limited 1 Year Warranty.
With handmade instruments there will always be a variance from one instrument to the next, even if they are of the same model. Thus, the published weights are approximations for each particular model of accordion.
*Opinion - I've spent a considerable amount of time on ALL of these accordions and they're all wonderful. For various reasons, my personal favorites are as follows: Superstar IV RS & SC, K10 SC, K9 RS & SC, K8, & 724. My ultimate choice would be a black Superstar IV SC in LMMH with the Cassotto Driver and mics.

The diatonic market is saturated with expensive boxes that look pretty on the outside and are cheaply built on the inside. Though not a part of Borsini's core business, we'll occasionally build a few of these in order to help keep the market honest. These accordions are very simple and easy to build but some people are taking a lot of money for these things. The quality built into this little Borsini is unmatched in the diatonic market.
Many diatonic accordions feature reeds that are "stamped" by the reed maker. Stamping the reed maker's NAME onto a reed does NOT mean that the reed is a genuine handmade reed. It just means that the reed maker's name is stamped onto the reed. Inside this little Borsini are GENUINE handmade reeds.
Availability: 1-4 months
Do you need the ultimate small accordion? Look no further than the Vagabond. You can take this thing just about anywhere and sound great. These are 3/4" keys so don't think that your fat hand won't be unable to get around on this little accordion. Check out the specs on this little bad boy.
Availability: LMM & LMH 4-6 Months
The Vienna 723 is a step larger than the Vagabond with 34 keys. This is a popular model for people that desire a smaller accordion.
Availability: LMM 3-4 Months, LMH 4-6 Months

The Vienna 724 is a hot seller simply because this is a very compact accordion with plenty of power with four sets of reeds on both sides of the accordion. Many professional players purchase this accordion for strolling or as a backup to their full sized model.
Availability: LMMM & LMMH - 2 to 3 Months
*Vienna 724 LMMH in Video
If you're interested in the Vienna 724 but you want 37 keys, this is the option. This accordion has 4/5 sets of reeds with plenty of power in a smaller size.
Availability: LMMM - In Stock, LMMH - 3 to 4 Months
This accordion is popular with traditional players that are looking for a full sized instrument without a tone chamber.
Availability: LMMM & LMMH - 2 to 4 Months
Our Vienna 414 SC is a bigger seller than the RS model simply because of its compact size. This model is a popular model for traditional accordionists that want less size and that are not afraid of playing a compact keyboard. The compact keyboards built today are thoughtfully constructed in a way where it "feels" larger but without the size and bulk. Players buying the compact models tend to have a more progressive view of the future of the accordion.
Availability: LMMM - In Stock, LMMH 2 to 3 Months

Here we have the full double tone chamber power in the smallest size possible with full sized 3/4" inch keys. The K8, K9's, and K10's are all in the same format but in different sizes and number of keys. This is a monster accordion in a very compact size.
Availability: LMMM (DEMO Model) - In Stock, LMMM & LMMH - 2 to 4 Months
The K9 RS is similar to the K8 but with 37 keys instead of 34 keys. This is a popular model with players who want the sound and power without the mass associated with a full 41 key accordion.
Availability: LMMM & LMMH - 3 to 4 Months
The K9 SC is one of our hottest selling accordions because of its compact size and double tone chamber power. The K9 SC and the K8 share the same identical wooden body and frame. To build the K9 SC with 37 keys, we've used slightly thinner keys so that we can fit 37 keys into the 34 key frame. The result is a 37 key accordion that is the same size as the K8 which is an engineering marvel.
Availability: LMMM with mics - In Stock, LMMH - 2 to 4 Months
The Vienna K9 SC LMMH in the video was painted in iPod Pink for the International FIF Festival in Castelfidardo. Forget the COLOR, listen to the SOUND and the POWER of this accordion.
The K10 RS is the full sized version of the Vienna double tone chamber models. I would recommend this accordion to the professional or aspiring professional that requires a bigger keyboard.
Availability: LMMM & LMMH - 2 to 4 Months (pictured with white keys and buttons)

If I had to choose between the K10 RS or the K10 SC, I would without a doubt choose the SC model. Yes, the keyboard is 18 1/8" in total length but the size, weight, and feel of this instrument is fantastic. I have fat hands and I prefer the SC over the RS model.
Availability: LMMM with mics - In Stock, LMMH - 2 to 3 Months (pictured in straight wood)
The K10 SC is a smaller accordion but the K10 Midget is even SMALLER. This would be considered as a "ladies sized" keyboard. This is probably the smallest 41 key double tone chamber accordion ever built. If you need super small and light AND 41 keys, you're reach for chords between your pinky and your thumb would be huge. I personally prefer the K10 SC but this is an even smaller option if needed.
Availability: LMMM & LMMH - 4 to 6 Months
With the K10 accordions, I lean towards the SC model. With the Superstar accordion, I lean towards the RS model. If you're going to go big time, go big time. Both the RS and SC models are fantastic but I personally prefer the buttery feel of the keyboard on the RS model. Due to the slight differences in size, the keyboard on the RS model feels just a hair nicer than the SC. Also, since the body of the RS is slightly larger, it produces a slightly "boomier" sound whereas the SC model produces a slightly "tighter" sound.
All of our Superstar models include incredible reeds that are of the latest technology. These reeds are built to respond to every neuance of your playing. You can even bend the sound of these reeds depending on your technique as you play. For a very professional type of player, this is a dream accordion. For an aspiring professional, I would recommend one of the K10 models with the more predictable type of handmade reeds and sound.
Also, the Superstar model is extremely resonant which is a big plus to the super pro accordionist that desires to hear everything that is going on inside the accordion. For the traditional player or aspiring professional, the K10 is a better choice with a more predictable sound. People that don't know any better may think that they need the most expensive accordion to feel good about their playing or to impress their friends, but get what you NEED. Each and every Borsini is incredibly built and much of the quality transends through ALL of the models, so pick out what is best for YOU. The build of the wooden body of our least expensive models is nicer than most other brand's top models.

LMMH Cassotto Driver Model with Stereo mics - In Stock
*What is the "Cassotto Driver???" Borsini is the leader in Castelfidardo in innovation and design. With our all NEW "Cassotto Driver" option we've built a wooden chamber that attaches to the double cassotto inside the bellows of the accordion. With this feature the player is able to turn on or off the chamber for a brand new and unique sound that's never been done before in the history of the accordion. The SOUND (not the volume) is similar to plugging into a custom amplifier, and it's all natural, all acoustic. We would like to show you a picture of the new design but there's just too many people that want to copy or modify the idea for themselves.
Most of our older customers that are not accustomed to this new sound prefer the Superstar WITHOUT the Cassotto Driver. All of the younger jazz players on our Artists page LOVE the Cassotto Driver option. This is simply because the option basically doubles the amount of natural sounds coming from the accordion.
If you want the ultimate power with less size, the SC model is where it's at. If it wasn't for us old fashioned fat handed Americans, Borsini would build ALL of their models in the Super Compact size. The biggest sellers throughout Europe are the SC models as nobody wants the big accordions anymore. Building a compact accordion is much more difficult due to space available to work inside the accordion. This SC model will produce a more "punchy" sound than the RS model. You'll have a punchier bassoon and clarinet with the SC model and a more boomy sound with the RS. Everybodies ear is a little different. I've seen older pros buy both sizes.
Choosing between the two is apples and oranges but the focus should be on the SIZE. If you want less size, go with the SC model. If you want the FAT keyboard, go with the RS model. If you're a smaller or average sized person, go with the SC model. If you're a larger person, you may prefer and be better suited for the RS. How many times have you seen a smaller woman playing a huge beast accordion? Those days are no longer necessary.

*Superstar IV SC in LMMH Video
If you desire the ultimate sound and power you can go with 5/5 sets of reeds. With 5 sets of reeds on the right hand you can go with a full straight sound in LMH or you can go full musette in MMM. You have the best of both worlds with 5 sets of reeds.
*Superstar 5 SC LMMMH in Video
Here you are witnessing a new experiemental model which has never been built before in the history of the accordion. This particular accordion would be considered a 5/5 version of our Superstar SC with the Cassotto Driver option with twin bassoons in LLMMH (L+M in cassotto).
The Cassotto Driver is a specially designed wooden box that sits inside the bellows in order to give the accordion an entirely new concept of sound and resonation. In addition, this particular model comes with Color Bars in which you can control the amount of each reed in your mix on the right hand (no presets). You can also control which reeds are turned on and off in the bass as well. This gives the accordionist the ultimate control of their acoustic accordion. You can order the Cassotto Driver model with presets on the right and left hand as well.

The other HALF of the Borsini line are Convertor Piano, B or C-System Chromatic, and Bayan Convertor accordions. Most of these models are sold in Europe and are not generally stocked in North America. There are a few brand names that are controlling this market but the true quality and power found in the Borsini is unrivaled in the world of the Bayan. If you are interested in one of these models, please contact us HERE.
